Meet Colorado (also known as Rojo), a striking 9-year-old Appendix horse looking for his forever home! An Appendix horse is a versatile breed created by crossing an American Quarter Horse with a Thoroughbred. This special breeding combines the calm, easy-going temperament of the Quarter Horse with the athletic build and grace of the Thoroughbred. You’ll see these wonderful qualities in Colorado, who catches everyone’s eye with his gleaming chestnut coat, but it’s his wonderful personality that truly makes him special.
Colorado comes to us from a loving home where he received professional training in Western riding and even learned some liberty work, making him a versatile partner for various riding adventures. He’s particularly experienced on trails, where his calm and friendly demeanor shines through. While he has plenty of energy when it’s time to work, Colorado’s gentle spirit and non-aggressive nature make him a joy to be around both in and out of the saddle. Due to his previous owner’s international relocation, this well-trained gentleman is now seeking a new partner to share the trails with.
